Kiwi availability?

I know there's plenty of Kiwis still for sale, but I noticed that it is no longer in production. Is this just a temporary stop before the next series w/ a different handle material comes out, or is this permanent?

I'm not really sure. But I do know that a CF Kiwi is planned for 2008.
