I can't remember the last time I've been this excited about a blade that wasn't handmade. This Ray Laconico collaboration has changed how I view Kizer Cutlery. They are now on par with Reate, at least for quality, and you all know that's saying something. This knife is almost as beautiful as the real thing with a heavily stonewashed S35VN blade, matte titanium handles and blue anodized hardware. It features a replaceable steel insert that doubles as an overtravel prevention mechanism and some of the best flipping action available at this price point. We also have handmade Lancer 2 models available which are Ray's newest collaboration with Mike Vagnino.

The photo you linked here and the photo on the website are different: one shows holes for a lefty clip and the other doesn't. Just curious what the final product is, thanks!

Thanks to OP and all knife knuts on this thread, I just ordered a Gemini!

Have one of their first models and was super impressed with the knife and its value. Frankly, was underwhelmed by the styling thereafter.

I am very optimistic given the Laconica affiliation and pictures.

Well this will most likely be my first Kizer, I haven't been all that tempted to try one of their models but this one changes things.

I'm still confused about the weight figure. I just sent the following PM and e-mail to KnifeCenter:

"Quick question. On your website, you indicate that the Kizer Cutlery Ki3471 Ray Laconico Gemini Flipper weighs 3.6 ounces. But the Kizer website says it only weighs 2.58 ounces. Which one is correct?"

I don't know. SwedishSurvivor made a point of mentioning that the Gemini is extremely light. And my Slim EDC with roughly the same specs weighs less than 3 ounces. So it's not like Ray doesn't know how to design lightweight knives. Still, 2.58 ounces seems awfully optimistic for the Gemini. I'm thinking it's heavier than that.

The final product does not have the holes for a left-carry clip. The stock photo from Kizer has been removed. The images on the white background is a photo we took in-house.

KnifeCenter just sent me a PM confirming that the weight is 3.6 ounces. So that answers that.

Thanks, Tom! :)

KC doesn't have any specs on the knife except that it has a blade a little over 3.0 ". That means that the handle can't

be much longer than 4.0, right. I have big hands, I need a handle at least 4.5".

Right. If you need a handle that's a least 4.5", the Gemini isn't the knife for you. Fortunately, I have medium-sized hands. A handle length of 4.0" or more works just fine for me. :)

We sold out of our initial batch over the weekend, however, we are getting another big batch of these in about a week!

The closed length is 4-1/8".
