I've got an opportunity to acquire a new Kizer Ki4436 in S35vn steel, G10 scales tomorrow. I know very little about it, other than that it looks like a pocket beast. Price is right, as far as I can tell.

Does anyone have an opinion on this knife? What is the intended application, other than cutting maritime anchor chains from their moorings?

I have one. The action will rival my Nilakka.
Cannot recommend one highly enough.
Its incredible for $75
First impressions its a $250+ knife imo.

Thanks MacLaren1. What do you find yourself using the Kizer Ki4436 for? EDC? General grunt utility?

Ive only had it for a few days, but you just know shes a work horse. She is a tank actually. But yet very sharp with some finess too - if you will please. Its like having two blades.....really neat.

I hope to have my hands on one tomorrow. Sounds like a legitimate do-all type of knife, if she's not too heavy. Gotta love a folder that can cover most of your bases.

Well, she's 8.2 ounces I believe. But she carries her weight extremely well. Honestly, if yours is like mine, your gonna laugh your ass off at what you got for the money you spent. Its freakin amazing!!

I picked up my ki4436 yesterday. I agree- amazing action, nice fit and finish. So far, it's pretty clear the star is the steel. Just stunning- and pretty amazing that it has such great steel at a steal of a price.

I wonder how long this knife is going to be priced in this range.

I think they may be fazing the 4436 out.
Thats prolly why such the good price.
But ya know, I was really impressed with the G10 that came on the knife too. And how about those stand offs?
Pretty nice eh?
Ive got to this and a few others out in the mail soon to gobto Jason Bosman to be sharpened.
Im anxious to see how this Kizer S35VN sharpens up....
Man, I wish there was some way Kizer could have used CPM 3V on this knife....

MacLaren- what size hex key is required to adjust the blade pivot? I used a metric 2 on the screws to switch the clip but it's too big for the pivot as is a 1.5. I have both metric and standard but don't seem to have one small enough. I'm guessing a 1.3?
