Hey guys,

Looking to sell my Kizer Yamakasi (Ki4489). It's a great "little" knife, but have a few to many at the moment, so letting this one go. The knife is part of kizers' bladesmith series, as a collaboration with custom knifemaker Mikkel Willumsen and it's got a really cool and unique look to both the handle scales and the blade as a result.

Looking to sell it for $sold shipped (Canada or CONUS)
(currently $200 USD on BladeHQ, Knifecenter etc...) - Shipping from Canada, so easy shipping if any fellow Canadians are interested, also happy to ship to the US
  • Images and Action (Imgur)
  • Framelock flipper design with a 3.5" (3.49") compound ground blade of S35VN steel and 4.6" long titanium handles.

Info:
  • It's never carried, but has been used around the house to open boxes and whatnot. So pretty much has just been flipped a bunch and used to cut paper + a bit of tape and cardboard.
  • Some minor signs of wear on the black finish of the blade and on the body screws.
  • The edge is not the original factory edge, but I sharpened it more because I wanted to improve it, than because it actually needed sharpening. Currently very sharp, maintained the original compound grind profile of a wider tip (30°) and narrower belly (20°). The edge is near mirror, could probably be brought up to a mirror polish with a bit more stropping.
Further info/Write up:
I would definitely say that it's strongest points are it's design/looks and it's opening action. It's a really cool and unique looking knife, but it's also quite good for utility, as it has a thin hollow ground belly for slicing and a stout strong tip for piercing. As for the action, the deployment is what stands out to me, it's got a bit of a stronger detent, more of a light switch than a push button. Don't quite know how to explain it, but the way it fires is incredibly satisfying, definitely very quick and has a really good sound to it as well. Not a drop shut knife, but with a tiny bit of help/wrist, you can get it to consistently close smoothly in one motion without touching the blade. It has solid lockup and no blade play.

Please don’t hesitate to shoot me a message or leave a comment, if you have any further questions, or if you’re interested in purchasing the knife

Thanks very much for taking a look!
