KLVUK and Kami Murali bonecutter= a very good xmas!!

I never seen a 12" neither. I'd love to hold that for a second or two. I bet it's got a good manly feel to it, not that I got anything against a good womanly feel but well ya know what I mean.

This PC stuff is dragging me down.

Hehe! Bawanna! I cant help but thinkin you got an AK Bowie on your mind influencing your thoughts! When you get down to twelve inches or so there's only so many ways you can configure it to get in your pants pocket with your ladies approval! Bone cutter would do it for sure!

Jens- I was light infantry-10th Mtn- and we and a panzergrenadier unit swapped weapons training. I was one of two guys who spoke any German, so we hung out all night...in the AM they gave me so much linked 7.62 for the MG3 I thought I was gonna loosen a filling. Funny- the platoon I hung with all carried G3's by choice. G36 is a neat rig though.
MG3 as far as I know they haven't changed its design since the 40's. Loosen a filling describes it well :D Always tried to shoot small bursts only since with all the shaking only the first round will hit. (mounted on a vehicle its a bit better)
Regarding the G3 I think the guys in Kosovo got at least some more recent production run and not our basic training G3s which were build in the 50's and must have shot ten thousands of rounds before we got to use them. Otherwise I can't believe they chose the G3 over the G36. Actually something like that wouldn't be any individual soldier's choice and be something decided higher up. Much higher. Maybe they made an exception for guys in combat zones. I doubt it though, just imagine if everybody could chose their own preferred assault rifle especially since G36 and G3 have different calibers.
My Platoon was also part of a Panzergrenadier Battalion.
Drann Drauf Drueber :)

Jens- i think what they did was get the whole platoon DM (designated marksman) qualified and then draw G3's, and just keep the g36's in the Marder to humor KFOR. It was a while ago so I'm not sure...

Bawanna, it is indeed very beefy, and stout. Although my condor kukri has it beat. Overall length 16", weight 29 oz.!! 8mm blade width.

JW, the bonecutter was bought from a forumite who has had it for a couple of years, and now it will become my belt knife:)

This nice forumite also made me an offer for that very same bonecutter. For some reasons, my "Yes" reply went in his spam box. By the time he noticed, he already sold it to you... Oh well, I'm glad it went in good hands :-)

Enjoy it you lucky bstrd :-)

thanks snowwolf:P

right now i am debating collecting firewood with it, for when the grid goes down this week, like it always does when the weather changes drastically.

a great regret of mine i never got a ganga ram nor a bonecutter-- if anyone has an original ganga ram call this guy, $$$$

Well hopefully by the end of this week I'll be able to show yall pics of my new CAK and klvuk#6 from 12/23 dotd. I would also like to show yall my 18inch AK I bought from Uncle Bill back in 2000 (its 5/8in thick) w/ UB stamped but no Kami mark, just stamped made in Nepal. I must get squared away w/ "photobucket" first though lol.

Thanks Jens I'll be trying till I get something to work. This not so smart phone is just so gosh darn convenient lol( pardon the sarcasm)

I bet that one is a monster! My 20" AK is 1/2". Id love to see pics of that one! I need to open some more webspace too. Evey time I post I have to delete something.

Ulua -Imake sheaths for my blades, and some kydex but there are some gents on this forum who specialize in sheaths...
I tend to specialize in very, very sharp convex things...:devilish:

I feel as though I have had my first "senior moment" as I just got out the tape measure, only to find that my 18in AK is actually a lil over 20 3/4 inches long, and just a lil over 9/16 thick. Forgive my misrepresentation.

Well you were only a 1/16th off on the thickness and whats a couple three inches amongst friends?

Thanks bawanna,

I hope this is a pic = )
