So, what does the Forum think. Which system is better overall, and has a better Value. Which one do you trust your knives and your pocketbook to?

What do you think about this Shopping cart from KME vs. The Apex 4 kit in the link below?

The KME with all the accessories and the Apex 4 Kit are roughly the same price of around $250. Which one is better, or is there another system I should be looking at?

Sorry I only have a KME. I dont have any experience with an edgepro so can't give you a fair comparison. For what it's worth I like my KME.

I have both. Even though it's fairly new to me, for most basic jobs now, I'm reaching for the KME 9 out of 10 times. Clamping the blade just seems to make it "dummy proof". Once set up, there is less worry about angle change as you work down the stones. Especially if using the diamond stones, don't even need to worry about variation of stone thickness.

Although, being a new KME fan, there are still blade shapes and sizes that just do better on the EP because of the flexibility of the non-clamped blade. So there you have it...both! ;) But if I were just starting my search again, kind of wish I'd found the KME first.
