KME? or Wicked Edge?

I don't know what research you're doing or where you're getting this information, but with all due respect, perhaps you should use a KME before discussing it with such absolutes.

I'm not going to go point by point on this but my experience could not be more opposite of what you describe and the KME is a highly capable product that is as precise as the user wants it to be.
I think you misunderstood my post, I never said it was incapable its a great sharpening system I just place it below the WE in terms of accuracy due to 1)Very difficult to use an angle cube to get an exact angle, coupled with the fact that the thing wobbles on the base, and 2) Its a clamped system with only one arm so if there are deviations in how it is clamped you cant account for them very well. This does not mean the KME is not precise, its just not the right choice for someone wanting to do an exact 17.25 degree angle on each side every single time, most people do not require this level of accuracy and repeatability. If you read my post you'd see that the KME has a lot of advantages over the WE, but I place the KME in the consumer category and the WE in the professional category. If you look at those with a sharpening business they either use the edge pro or the wicked edge. Ive done a good bit of research on all the sharpeners available and ill provide some links if you want. If you think I'm wrong about either points I've made feel free to prove me wrong, clamping it into a vice doesn't count.

I didn't make the assertions so there's no burden of proof on me. I disagree with your assessment of your research. That's it. Nothing to debate or argue about. If you're convinced then that's cool with me. I just want people who may read this thread in the future to see there is a difference of opinion. Then they can do the research and draw their own conclusions.

Ive provided specific reasoning for the differences between the products, instead of sharing your experiences and why you do not agree with any of my statements you're just saying my entire assessment is false. Your response serves no purpose for anyone reading since you've provided nothing, seems like you're just offended that something negative has been said about your sharpener.

Pretty much all of these guided sharpeners are running a racket... outrageous margins. The cost to produce a Wicked Edge system is nowhere remotely close to $300. It's more like $50 in China.

Wicked Edge in particular seems to try to situate itself as the Apple of knife sharpening accessories. It charges insane prices for all its proprietary stuff. Soon you're gonna need fifty $30 dongles to get your wireless-integrated Wicked Edge to turn on, and repairing it will probably be illegal too.

To me, the Edge Pro is the least predatory guided sharpener as it is not an insane-margins device and it has tons of non-proprietary sharpening media available for it.

To each their own. But, for what amounts to what I paid for one of a few of my nicer knives, I picked up a W.E. and have been achieving screaming sharp edges in just a few sessions. I knew the system was - let's face it - crazy expensive, and it has been worth every penny.

I figured as much as you know about margins you would also know WE is American Made. Glad to see you haven’t fallen into the racket there running hell you could just take a weekend trip to China buy a few knifes and a sharpening system be money ahead and pay for your trip. What a Bag!!!

They are all expensive for what they are. I would say the Edge pro is the worst for what you get, its extremely simple cheaply constructed plastic, with stones that aren't that good, looks cheap, uses suctions cups, play in the arm. This is why I built my own out of a clone. The KME is also wobbly and looks like something a guy built in his garage. If i were to buy an Edge pro type system I would get a Hapstone. I justified spending the money on the WE because it was actually built very well, it's streamlined and professional.
