Sharpened maybe 20 knives, works great I just prefer free hand. No noticeable degradation of stones. Jaws were bumped a little and have skid marks, but minimal, and no effect on function, the little rubber jaw insert occasionally sticks to the blade never bothered me but need to mention. complete basic kit plus the convex sharpening rod.
