KMG (and clones) spring?

What are the specs on the spring used for the tensioning pulley? Also, do you find a need to have different springs for different jobs or just run with the one for everything?

One spring is all I have ever needed, I just purchased one about the right length from McMaster. Did not even really pay much attention to the spring rate.

I used a 30 pound Gas spring and that seams to be just right for tension.

I bought a long one and kept cutting it off until I found the right tension. I doubt its 30 pounds probably about half that.
