Sam, for me it depends on machine height. One of my KMGs is a sit-down. Depressing the lever without modification is easy when standing. I recently installed another, but on a much higher (50") platform. On that one, the lever is neither above or below me, so it's trying to reach straight out and push down. Not so much force that way, and even old and fat I'm still rather strong. The lever like Mickley's helped a lot, especially with a shoulder that needs replacing.
