Hi
I have a KMG with a VS motor with 8 contact wheels also I have a contour grinder set up with a 1 HP motor with several contact wheels.
also several drill presses an anodizer and an etcher and alot of other little things to go...I want to sell them all as a lot pick ups only.....

this is a deal 1500 takes it all...serious inquries only

WOW! Nathan, you ain't gving up on us are ya? That is quite a haul there.

PS, if you break a few things up and will ship let me know. That Anodizer is tempting! Maybe send me a list.

Daggum Nathan, you're losin money big time lettin it all go as a lot like this.
I know things happen that the rest of us don't know about but take some time, don't make things worse.
Shoot, you should think about settin your tools aside and hangin on to em!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya never know, maybe what evers buggin ya now will go away and you'll get back into the groove.
Damn!

Sorry to hear that you're getting rid of all your tools, especially as I have a new KMG coming on Tuesday, although local pick up would be hard from here.

If you decide to break it up, I'd possibly be interested in some contact wheels.

I hope things work out for you.

If you ship it out you'll sell it instantly. Just make someone else pay the shipping. It sounds like you're getting out of the business. I'd encourage you to keep your stuff, take a break, come backto it when your head clears. Of course, I'm talking out of my butt because I have no idea what the circumstances are. Best of luck to you, Nathan.

I don't know the circumstances, but don't do something you might regret by selling your stuff. :(

If you do end up shipping some stuff, I would be interested in a horizontal grinder (if that's what you mean by a contour grinder) or some small wheel attachments. But even if you sold them for the cheapest price possible, I would rather you kept them for yourself and stuck with the knifemaking (if that makes sense).

I hope you're getting brand new tools ! Otherwise think about this sale long & hard.Best of luck to you either way.

Hey Nathan, you're kill'n us here. I don't think ANYONE should have to wear their lives on their knife forum sleeves... but we're all sure wondering why in the heck you sold everything.

Seems like you really made leaps and bounds of progress in the last couple years.

Hope you're doing okay! :)

Nick,I have four knives ground out that is the best work I have ever done laying on my bench right now two are out for sheath work, they will be for sale
but knife makeing is takeing to much time up,I have a 19 month old son and a great wife, they are my world and I don't want to miss out on my son growing up and to make enough money in the knife making world there is alot of time and money spent away from your family that is somthing I don't want to do

Also another big thing is I don't travle well and with out going to shows it is hard to get noticed, yes you do get noticed among our pears here on the forums we frequent....I always said to myself if knifemaking is takeing away from my family it was time to wash my hands of it....Knives will always be part of my life,I am a avid bowhunter and trapper and there will always be a need for a knife.....

I have met some wonderful people on the forums and have emailed and spoken to a number of them,as a whole it is a good group....

I will always be a member of the forums..to each and everyone who has enriched my life I say thank you....The lord has blessed me with a great family
and when it all comes downs to it your family is the only thing you have :)
no amount of money or fame can replace that

I wish you well Nathan.

That's gott'a really bite to let everything go. But you have to do what you have to do...

I'll bet a wooden nickel you'll buy another KMG before your ride on this big rock is up though :D

I have other wicked things that will be in the works in the near furture ;) and no grinder or belts are required only a mill and a lathe...Thanks for the kind thoughts they mean alot :)

Nathan, that's the best reason there is. Good luck to you. Hope you find time in the future to get back to making knives.

Although I find your reasoning to be completely sound, I still think you should keep some of your equipment and make a few in your spare time(when you get some). Good luck in whatever you decide, Nathan.

Nathan, it takes a real man to put his family's needs ahead of his own wants, and i applaud you for it.good luck and God bless.

Nathan,
I feel ya bro,
I just went through the same ordeal, having to sell some knifemaking tools. Granted, for other reasons, but I still have a mill and lathe, and all is well my friend!
I love machining more than knifemaking, and I still might pick up a new Bader again one day.
Best of luck to you, and hope you are doing well..

BTW,
I'm still loving that avatar Danbo... I see it's gone on the other forum... Hehe!
