You got to be a happy camper. I love mine and today I should have the 10" wheel going. I know there was a glitch involved in the sale but, all is good now and you got a good deal with the varible speed and extras. Enjoy

Hey Scott great score, did you or have you ordered a MAP arm from adammichael ? Good luck and lets see that bad boy

Thanks everyone. My buddy (a licensed electrical contractor) came over and got the 220V out to the shop today. I had an outside outlet that was on it's own circuit for a future water feature (waterfall and pond) that I had wanted to put in. My wife and I had since decided that it would be too large for the backyard, so about 2 years ago the decision was made to not put it in. This left me with 20 amp service out to the shop. My buddy was able to just remove a little bit of sheet rock right where I want the grinder to be mounted. He converted that line to my grinder. He was able to junction the outside 110 volt into the other shop lights. It turned out to be a real easy wire job, since we didn't have to pull any new wires. The electrician that originally wired the shop had wired it so that the outside plug could be easily converted to the 220V, if I ended up getting the 2HP 220V grinder instead of the water feature. Sometimes it actually works out when you plan ahead!

I'm heading out to get a drive belt and a pipe and flange. The pipe and flange is for mounting the VFD and there was no drive belt.

I talked to him a while back about it, but I just want to get it up and running first and get used to it. Then I'll decide what features and attachments to add to it. I'm thinking a tool arm storage bar will be really handy. I might just make one though, since I have a welder and lots of steel laying around.

It's wired up and running! WOW! It's like driving a Porsche after years with a Yugo.

The 6" Drive wheel & Glass ceramic for the platen has worked good for me.also the base plate saved me time & space

I just went out and picked up a screw for the flat platen. I only had one. Now I need to get me some belts. I only 120, 150, 180 and 220 belts and there all Aluminum Oxide.

I guess if I'm going to have a good grinder it only makes sense to get the most out of it and get some great belts.

Well, here are the pictures. Finally! I've been working on mounting the grinder and reorganizing the shop for two weeks. An hour here, two hours there, in between my trips out of town.

I had to rearrange my shop to make a place for the grinder. It's up and running. I've got an assortment of new belts coming from Pops. I've now got some hooks hanging from the ceiling to store them.

I made a special shelf to mount the grinder on. While I was rearranging, I also redid my storage racks on the wall. I took most of my different woods and cut them up into smaller pieces. I bought some rubbermade containers for them and have them all organized. I'll be sending a bunch of it to WSSI for stabilizing. After reorganizing, I actually have more open floor space than I had before, even though I added a grinder. I have my cabinets utilized better too.

I'm posting two pictures of my storage area, a before and an after.

Tell me what you think.
