Kmg's and contact wheels

After many years and the first couple of not know what I was doing my idler wheels are shot on my kmg! I want to replace them with the contact wheels I was thinking a 2" and a 3" my question is will this work with the standard platen attachment? after some adjusting of course......has anyone actually used this combo with the platen?
