I have finally put some more knives together
I have 7 that I'm going to put up for grabs if anyone's interested

Here's the first three...let's number them 1, 2, and 3 top to bottom

#1 and #2 are $75 ea.
#3 is $70

please add $5 for shipping.

for those of you who don't know about obsidian , check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsidian
and this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knapping

Now, let it be known that Obsidian, being a natural "glass" can be very sharp,
but also very brittle. So this is not a type of blade you would want for everyday use (thats what all the quality steel blades listed on this site are for) but should be considered "collectible art pieces" reminescent of the stone age, before man learned the superior properties of iron and steel.

I have a handful of these knives made and if there is any interest shown, I may be able to get some more together. All the blades are hafted to a whitetail antler handle, using high strength epoxies and artificial sinews. I do not offer a sheath, as you will most likely put this in your display case anyways.

"Does #2 have a chip in the blade or is that just a variation of the obsidian?

Ted #2 isn't chipped. It's just a couple of clear spots in the obsidian.
thanks, I should have mentioned that already.

Thanks, I'd love to get it, but I can only afford the other two I got. :(

These are very nice.I like that you took time to make the wrap look nice.Much better than some I've seen in the past. The blades are just amazing.

Please make some more when these are gone.I want one but I need to sell a few knives first.

Beautiful work there Teddy. My older brother knapped obsidian, but could never get the long flakes meeting in the center of the blade. He did clean a truot with one of his blades though. He got his hands on some rainbow obsidian once & it is awesome in an arrow head or knife blade. He would also heat agate slabs in the oven & made a few arrow heads out of it also.Anyhoo beautiful knives, wish I could get one.
