First attempt. Took longer than I anticipated but overall I think it turned out pretty well. I had to finish sand after sharpening because apparently I am impatient and kept nicking the finish while sharpening. I did not make this one overly sharp because it was a gift for my 8 year old daughter for our camping trips. I would rather her not lop off a finger first outing with it. Let me know your thoughts, critiques, criticisms, etc...

Thanks for looking!

I like it. I'm sure she will love it. We painted my daughter's room pink, now she decided her favorite color is purple. Suppose I'll have to find some purple handle material in a few years.

Much better than my first and second and third you get the idea. I made my son his first knife when he was 8.

Thanks all. She has been the one most interested in what I was doing when I started on it. I figured it only fair the first one be for her. Currently working on finishing up the second one for the wife. Very similar to this one just a slightly larger version. Also started mocking up some drawings for a clip point.

Well Tom it looks like you have done a very good job on the first one, I would say your Daughter will be tickled pink to own it!
