hey guys, just thought that I'd put up a couple of pics of my second knife (the first one I'll claim)

It started life as a Nicholson file, differentially hardened (backyard stuff, MAPP torch and used transmission fluid/engine oil) it actually has a hammon hiding in there, but I think that I botched the etch, I may put some vinegar on it to see if it will come out more. The handles are hickory that I cut from an old broken axe handle with red liners and brass pins. I have a lot to work on, but this one is leaps and bounds better than my last attempt.

thanks for all the kind words guys. I think I want to try a friction folder for my number 4. I have a blade that is just about done for a bushcrafter type knife, but It's 1095, and I think I am going to find a place to send it for HT instead of winging it myself.
