Ok so here goes and please forgive the pictures. I havent built a light box yet but it really is on my list. ( after seeing these pics it has been bumped up on the list :) ).

1084fg
oal 8 inches
blade length 4 inches
handle length 3 and 5/8th inch
3/8th inch brass guard and brass pins
walnut scales

Not sure what happened to this batch of scales but they came out duller than the last ones I used. Also is there an easy way to fix the pinholes in my solder?

Looking pretty good there heathen. Make sure you flux well, I ground down a small screwdriver to a fine point and while the solder is liquid I lightly run point right with the joint, it seems to work well for me.
BTW we are having a exhibition cowboy action shoot at the sportsman's club tomorrow. If you want to come let me know and Ill give you directions. (its just north of Pikeville)
Now get to work and lets see that next knife!

Thanks. I thought I had it fluxed right but put it down to my soldering ability ( its a little different from welding). I wasnt sure if heating it again at this point would hurt the handle, but I will give it a try.
The next knife just got heat treated yesterday, so its in the works. In the process of deciding what kind of gaurd to give it.
Please call me Ben.

Just one thing.
How big is your finger notch? looks like it could be a little bigger. I like it 3/4" to 1 "
Could just be the picture.

ArtinNC its about a 1/32cd shy of 3/4 inch. and yea I think now that I probably should have made it abount one inch instead. it fit my hand good so I left it as is but now realize I shouldn't go by just my hand size for things like that.
Bobby thanks I'll keep doing the best that I can. It seems I'm getting better the more I make.

Ben

Better than my third knife. I was not criticizing, I think you did very good for third knife. And just keep at it and you will keep getting better.
