Went to Bass Pro today and purchased my 3rd Kershaw. I purchased the 1670rd Kershaw Blur. It is the red anodized handle with g10 overlays. This blade deploys almost like an automatic blade, really fast. Same blade material as my other 2 Kershaws the Sandvic 13. I'm liking me some Kershaw !! I now have the Blur, Tanto Groove and JYD 1. I want a leek or Shallot next and then I'm going to get a nice 100$+ Benchmade and a Spyderco. Opionions on the Blur ??

Great knife. I love mine. I would recommend trying to take out the assistance mechanism. it is a really nice knife as a manual once you get used to it, and, while it still opens really fast, it can be opened slow, too. just my opinion.

BTW, go for the leek. it is more of a small gentleman knife than the shallot, and you do not have one of those.

It's not my thing as I don't like aluminum handles and not big on assisted opening. But if you like it that's all that matters. Most people have to try out knives before they settle on what they like.

I feel the same :)

i have a zdp blur blem and it's my most often carried knife. It's my only non flipper assited knife so it took a couple days to get comfortable using the thumb studs.

The Blur is probably the most solid- and reassuring-feeling knife I own, but it's not my daily carry. I've noticed that the broad blackened blade freaks out non-knife folks, the knife overall is a bit big and unwieldy, and the pocket clip rips up my pants. I tend to carry it if I'm camping or hiking, but not for everyday use.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I like the AO on the Blur. That thing is kinda scary coming out lol. I also tend to like larger blades on my folders 3" plus. Kershaw for the $ is hard to beat, I guess that is why my first 3 knives have benn Kershaw. I feel like i'm getting my moneys worth every time I buy a Kershaw. I am still going to get a nice Benchmade and Spyderco.

I just recived a Leek for my birthday, waaaay sharp , nice fit and finnish but I find the flipper is a bit to dainty to deploy quickly. Love my Spidy with the big spidy hole. Love my griptilian with the big thumb stud.
