Yes, something totally different, another Scandi. This pattern was presented to me by Terry Trier. I named it after him. It comes in various tang ends for various purposes or with no exposed tang. Simply dropping the exposed tang completely leaves a full 4 1/2 inch handle. The exposed tang is 1/2 inch with a 1/4 inch chamfered thong hole. This particular one is designed for scrapping small game hides and the tang end is flat with sharp edges just as the blade spine is for striking firesteel.. The tang end is about 77 mil thick. The blade spine is about 160 mil inch. Blade length is about 4 5/8. Handle scales: about 4 1/2. OAL: about 9 3/4 inches. Blade width is about 1 1/4 with a approximate 1/3rd sabre grind. Wood is big leaf maple I had WSSI stabilize. Blade steel is CPM S30V at about 59.5 HRc.

This knife design is well balanced and wonderfuf to use both in function and handling.

Thanks for looking and any comments are most welcome.

Wow!
This is one of those things where all you can give are compliments. The wood is wondeful, and I bet you could do a pretty decent field dressing with that. Are you keeping or selling?
Oh yah, I couldn't help but think about this- what color are you gonna do the sheath, and what material?

Many thanks all. This one belongs to Terry Trier (Hoodoo). I have no idea about sheath or color of sheath as he wants to make that himself.

Thank you all again.

Like I said elsewhere Roger, this is one beautiful knife. You'd think there wasn't much room for variation in the Scandi knives - and I guess there isn't - but that just makes what variation is possible all the more unique. This one really stands out. Either you're getting it down (you are) or your customer understands miniscule changes can make huge, if not obvious, differences in the end product. The extended point and tang on this one just make it click. This is a special knife and I'm sure pleased to have seen it. You just keep getting better and better; every project is cleaner than the one that went before, and they are all excellent.

Out of friendship, I will ask you to quit making knives now. You've surpassed me and I don't want to feel any greater loss. Thanks buddy,

Roger, that is a great looking kinfe. I like that design and the wood looks great.

Very nice knife, Roger! A neat personalized development of the style.

AAH, you guys are too good to me. The design goes to Hoodoo. He wanted me to make it that way. I love it myself and Hoodoo has given me permission to make more and alter it at will. I can't quit yet Dave. Gotta pay the bills.

Fitz, you still off the cigs? Sunday makes four weeks for me.

Day 21 for us, Roger; not so much as one puff! One month for you, soon!! Way to go, guy!

While it isn't easy by any means, I have absolutely zero desire to return to smoking. Nanc was shoveling some snow today and observed that even in this brief time her breathing has improved and she didn't get winded near as bad.

Stick with it!

Maple is hard to beat..........I repeat...........Maple is hard to beat !

That stuff is just beautiful....Ya done good my man. Great lookin' blade.

Roger, that's a great knife! No surprise, either. It's one more example of Roger's super work. Hey, have I told you your pictures are really good, too?
