I have never worked with desert ironwood before... but this stuff is AMAZING. Looks fairly plain until you throw it on the buffer... then WOW. Seeing this stuff in person makes all the difference.

This'll probably be my final progress post. I have two of the knives fairly close to completion. They still need a bit more polishing, logo etching and sharpening. Here's a snapshot (the lighting is a bit harsh... it's quite sunny here).

The other three don't even have the bolsters attached yet.

When they're all done, I'll take a group shot in the light box. Thanks for reading.

i am in love with the blade shape, and the bolsters look great.

i personally would have used a darker wood if i was goign to carry it, but thats a matter of personal preference.

Erin I have over 100 sets of iron wood scales I know how addictive the wood is .lol
