Stacy told me to build a half dozen of the same knife to learn better. I consider my KITH to be the first since it's pretty much the same. Here's the second one completed. The third knife is almost done. It's a bit heavy in the handle, but it was the nicest handle I'd done at the time. Tests between 60-65 HRC. Please give me your opinions so I can get better.

Blade: CPM-S30V 1/16" thick
Handle: CA finished Bocote scales, red and black liners
Edge length: 5"
OAL: 10"
Bead blasted finish, 1/2" flat/convex grinds. Cuts great, nice and thin.
Cutting Board: Basket weave bocote end-grain

Another nice one. I love your work. Those cutting boards are the coolest I have seen.

Charles, your work is coming along so nicely that I can't say enough. I don't think I've ever seen anyone make as great strides between projects as you are; keep up the good work. And yeah, that's a beautiful cutting board; what a nice set you made!

Edited to add: Charles I want one. Maybe we can work out some sort of trade. Keep it in mind!

you need to change your title. thats far from an ugly knife :D

I agree, the knife/cutting board combo is just beautiful. Cool idea doing them that way, that is probably the nicest cutting board I've seen.

Well, this one(#7) is probably a birthday present for my brother and #8 has a 12"x24" cutting board for my wife. She's been wanting a kitchen knife from me. I told her the bowie was a turkey carver but she says that doesn't count. #9 isn't spoken for yet. I planned yellowheart and purpleheart for it, but it will take a few weeks to get around to the board.
