Knife Alteration

I have a scandi knife with a blade over 4 inches. I was wondering who I could send it to, to have the blade taken down to 4'' (or a hair under) and have a flat bevel applied with no micro bevel. The original craftsman is not an option.

Mods if this is in the wrong place, my bad, do what you do.

Does it have a secondary bevel now? Could you post a pic of the knife or email me a pic or 2? Thanks,Steve

BRK&T do convex, I want it flat, no micro.

Yes it has a very micro bevel and is slightly convex. I'll get my camera tomorrow (it's at work) and take some pics.

I am looking to keep it, just with the alterations I mentioned in my first post.

That could be a lot of metal removal, depending on the amount needed to go from convex to scandi as well as removing enough for the secondary bevel to be gone. It could remove enough metal to change to shape of the blade a bit, or the width anyway. Is it a custom ? Let us know what knife it is and I may not need pics.

If it is done flat it will get rid of the bevel without removing much, the length is where the most steel will be removed. I really don't care if it changes it a little or a lot, it's the handle that makes me like this knife.

It's a custom. I don't feel comfortable mentioning the maker. He does fantastic work (just can't get a flat bevel on a scandi).
