This is the first combo set that I have put on the forum. I am very proud of the feedback that I have gotten from my customers on these sets. The knife and axe are both made from the same piece of steel. German Din2003 carbon hand finished to 400 grit. The handles are cut from the same piece of Nicaraguan Rosewood and held on with epoxy and six pins each. The set comes with individual sheaths constructed the same and dyed the same. Both tools are extremely sharp and fit well in the hand.
I also offer these with most types of wood, micarta , stag and horn.

Knife blade is 5" from scales to tip, 1 5/8" at widest and slightly over 3/16" thick.
Over all is just over 10"
Axe head is 4 3/4" long with 3 1/2" of cutting edge and is also slightly over 3/16" thick.
Over all is also just over 10"

The cost is----SOLD----$215.00----which includes shipping in the US. Paid with PayPal, M.O. and check.

Satisfaction is guaranteed and thanks for looking.

great looking combo!
just bought a hand axe from GLDrew, or i'd be all over this. good price, good looking work.

i don't know anything about the steel you used. if you have the time, can you educate me/us about it?
thanks in advance.

Gentemanndvn--- You were wise to purchase an axe from GL, he makes great axes as well as knives and is a very good friend of mine. We live about twenty minutes from each other.
The German 2003 steel is the other steel of choice for saw blade manufactures usually out of the US. It possess' most of the same characteristics as US made L6. The flexibility
and edge holding ability. The tempering process is virtually identical. Naturally it contains high carbon content as well as chromium and potash. I have had no problems with steel at all.
