Knife and sheath for a vet

I should probably briefly introduce myself. I am a recently retired aerospace engineer. I have made knives and done leather for close to 20 years but only on a very limited basis. I had the opportunity to live next door to Charlie Weiss for 15 of those years and his guidance and feedback have been more than helpful (and sometimes frustrating). I still can't meet his standards but at least I know what is possible and have improved. I have decided to see if I can actually sell knives now that I have more time so here is my first order.

Jay served two tours in Iraq in the First Cavalry and was recently discharged. He loves knives but can't afford too many so his mother asked me to make a "special" fighter for a Christmas present. Because of the circumstances, I gave her a very low cost estimate. It ended up looking a lot like the Chris Reeve Green Beret knife so credit must go to Chris and Bill.

I have always liked Paul Long's designs so I patterned the sheath after his and even got some generous advice from him on a single retention strap. I eneded up using his double strap design because I thought it looked cool.

The details on the knife:
CPM154 with Paul Bos heat treat
OAL 11 inches with 6 inch blade
416 bolsters and pins
Ironwood handle

I have a lot to learn about pictures so they are not great but that is another project.

All comments and feedback are welcome.

It was my pleasure to do it for them. Unfortunately, it seems he is considering going back in because he can't find work now that he is out. I hope things work out for him.
Thanks for the positive comments.
