When our furnace went out in 2017 I sold my Snoopy for $14,000 to a friend to help pay for a new one and the tax bill that year. I SO MUCH REGRET SELLING IT. Getting a Speedy Tuesday doesn't hold a candle to it...

I’ve got a buddy who sold his for $10K… Needless to say when they shot up to $50K on the used market he was kicking himself.
That said, it sounds like in your case the money went to a good cause (my friend sold his to buy another watch). After all, at the end of the day these are just things.
