Knife buying opinions?

Don't count out the Zt 0630 just yet. If you are looking for an excellently built tough blade with a strong tip and useful blade shape then look no further. This is also the only knife of the group that has the wave feature meaning the knife can double as a self defense option in a pinch if you practice your wave draw.

My second choice would be the Military or the Protech. Honestly Cold Steel's newer stuff has been excellent in fit and finish, just a great product. You couldn't really go wrong woth any option. Just be aware the military is tip down only and has quite a fragile tip.

Protech TR series knives are fantastic. Or a Cru-wear manix2, PM2, mille.

TR4. Millie if it were tapped for tip up carry.

ZT 0630
I've been carrying my 0620 constantly lately.
$170 is a lot of eBay Bucks. Did you buy a car (if that even counts toward them)?

Either the Protech or the Ti Millie.

If the Ti Millie, consider a step up and get the Fluted version. The difference is amazing, on a new level.
I speak from history of making light-weight versions of Ti RIL frame-lock + G10 MIcarta Millies for my daily carry.
A Fluted Ti Milled is weight-wise right in between, and the radiused scales and grip-texture are superlative.
There is actually a fair amount of handle material removed in the profiling & fluting.

The Protech is also very nice, just a significantly different knife in my mind (should get both ;-)

Photo below: On middle knife, I also radiused the spine of the blade (really nice touch on a Millie I think).

This photo might help to show the radiused scales of the Fluted (in comparison to standard Ti Millie profile):

photoman12001,

I have loved that picture, especially those blood scales on that 0620.
Has that blade been re-profiled, or is it just the angle/lens of that pic that make it look more elegant (slender)?

ZT 0630 if you don't mind the weight. I personally don't care about weight but I know a lot of people on here have that as a big deciding factor.

Out of all the knives I've sold or traded, I miss this the most and I've had all the ones you mentioned except the pro tech. Not a big auto fan

Already own a g10 military and a recon I

Admire your taste. That s a nice pair.
For something different that s light and strong and slices like a demon, consider the Holdout 2 while you can still get one.
Of the choices listed, hard to beat the Military.

I've never had any of the three mentioned, but I would go military because it's been calling my name lately.

Very nice militaries Spey, great pictures too. Do the newly released fluted have the CQI?

Thanks. I think it's just the camera angle. I bought it used but I don't think there has been any reprofiling to the blade.
I really like that knife. There are three that I can't seem to put down right now: that ZT 0620, my Grayman Dua, and my plain Sebenza 25. If I'm driving or sitting on the couch those pretty much rotate through my hands for fidgeting.

No love for the Military, personally. I'd go 630, then Golden Eye, personally, out of those.

I'd go Zemerson. I like the wave and ergos. I already have a PM2, but I wouldn't say no to a Millie. Just on my list of priorities, that's how I'd go.
