Knife center pre order cold steel

Broken Skull is the name of his ranch.

There is also a TV show filmed there where contestants do a bunch of "extreme" challenges. It's like Fear Factor but with wrestling and obstacle courses.

Maybe we'll see a 3V Rajah II or XHP Tuff Lite in 2017... Looks like this year is full of "I'll pass" material.

Given that the only thing that's been announced that I have any interest in is the Kershaw Launch line additions, it looks like this year will be pretty easy on my wallet. More money for grails of days gone by...

Yeah. Stone Cold Steve Austin is a big Cold Steel fan, he carries them, and recently interviewed Lynn Thompson for his podcast. Broken Skull is the name of his IPA beer label, so I dunno if they designed this knife for him, or in conjunction with him, or what, but that's what the Broken Skull is about.

nice, i had no idea about any of it!

I'll buy a 4MAX, it checks all the right boxes for me. The rest of that stuff, I'll pass.

I placed my pre-order's last night. Getting a Rawles Limited Edition XL Voyager and one of the Broken Skull folders with Blue G-10 handles. I'm really looking forward to the Broken Skull folder! To me its what a modern version of the classic Buck 110 should look like. I don't really care for the big "BROKEN SKULL" logo written on the blade, however that's minor, as it doesn't effect the function of the knife.

yes i agree, i feel the ultimate hunter is very similar at a much lower price. i think i would be pretty satisfied with just the ultimate hunter.
The UH is a great knife, but 4MAX is much different. Comparing it to other Cold Steel Folders is not really applicable. Comparing it to an XM18, a Medford Praet, or Strider SMF is more appropriate.

It is like comparing a Bushman Bowie (excellent knife BTW) to a San Mai Natchez Bowie.

Sounds about right. I for one think it's awesome. The only thing I don't really dig about it is the lack of a lanyard hole.

I like the Colossus as the FFG and broad blade should produce really excellent cutting geometry. The Broken Skull's not for me. Other than that, seems too early to tell. I'd like to see some practical fixed blades in 3V and XHP from them this year.

,, and

I'm a huge fan of cold steel. But model names like this one are super cringe inducing...Can't think of two words I would want less than "broken" and "skull" on my knife.

Wait it says "steve austin" on the blade as well. What the hell is this thing. As in the wrestler? Looks great in blue g10, but that billboard on it...uh..

For the older guys... Maybe it's a 80's bad TV retro knife named after the Six Million Dollar Man. :)

Either way... Not for me!

I definitely like the looks of the following: Blackthorn Staff, Axe Head Cane, Brooklyn Basher 24" Bat, Colossus I Folding Knife and Rawles Voyager. I also like the Recon Tanto and SRK in 3V steel but am a little curious as to why they are priced higher than the same knives in San Mai III?

I watched wrestling back in the day when Stone Cold was big, so I got nothing against him, and I'll surely get a Broken Skull in blue(and maybe white as well), though I'd still prefer the knife without the branding. Never used a lanyard on anything, never even seen the point of them on folders(I at least get why machetes/big chopper type knives have them) so the lack of lanyard hole doesn't phase me in the least.

With how narrow the Trail Master's blade is, combined with its thickness, that would make for a very beefy edge. A true sharpened prybar

Imagine the splitting capabilities of that... not to mention the extra weight behind the chop. But not to make the edge itself too beefy as to lose sink when you do. Though if this causes the wood to flat out break prematurely, that would be a win. Too many things to consider when designing a blade...

Speaking of a "sharpened prybar", I recently tracked down the ever elusive to me Kabar Chop Stick.

I'd be happy if they just went back to the convexed grinds of the original TMs in the Carbon Steel Versions.

Could you imagine an convexed ground, DLC coated 3V Trailmaster (w/ a radiused blade to tang transition?
