Knife choice in the outdoors made by favorite makers....

My own Gray Wolf, #5 with green micarta and blued flats. What a stellar product for dirt cheap...

I like your style LMT! I have a soldier river on order. On of these days I'll be picking up one of Rick's Puuku's as I have held them and they are just about perfect!

Some more eye-candy of my B. Andrews

Cool thread and Great Knives!

For me its the Siegle SAR-4:

Super-solid, simple design, holds a great edge and fits the hand to perfection (for me!)...
Carry it all the time; at home, at work and out in the brush.

Cheers,

Sweet. I just bought the green micarta SAR-4 he recently posted yesterday. Can't wait until mine gets here. Here's what I'm carrying at the moment: 3" blade 52100 drop point with ghost green G10 handles and brass finger guard by John H Davis. Love it. 52100 is fantastic.

Heheh. Is that a Suunto? I've got the same one in my sling bag on my person every day. Awesome, ultralight, high-quality. Good choice, friend

My absolute favorite woods bumming blade is this 5" Tusker by Scott Gossman. O1 steel, 3/16ths thick with brown micarta scales and brick red G-10 liners. I opted out of the usual pouch style leather sheath that Scott does for his blades (some very nice leather work if I do say so) and have gone with a Spec-Ops brand sheath. I wanted the ability to carry a small bit of kit along with the blade.

I carry this blade because it is more than capable of any woods task I may ask it to do short of heavy chopping. It is great paired with my Silky saw or it's larger 10" bladed brother, the Big Boar Tusker! The ergos on this knife are amazing, and I feel very confident with any grip I use.

I always have one of my custom Martin Knives with me, whether in town or in the woods. Either a BT, SERE or Bushfighter. All made extremely well, comfortable to use and do a great job at any task I throw at them. Sometimes I carry my ESEE 5. I always have some kind of slipjoint in my pocket too. I'll try to get some pics up soon.
