This is a neat piece. The blade is 1-3/16in long, 1in wide and made of 154CM. The liners are titanium and the scales and spacer are Carbon Fiber. The hole diameter is 3/4in. Overall length open is 3in, closed is 1-7/8in long and 1in wide. The mechanism is my own slip-joint/friction folder.
Price shipped is $150
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

Is it really suited as a cigar cutter? How thick is the blade? Could you go into a little more depth concerning slip joint/friction lock. Thanks and it is always nice to see something a little outside the box.

This is a cigar cutter and as a bonus it is also usable as a knife. You insert the tip of the cigar into the hold and close the blade, snipping off the tip of the cigar. The blade is 1/8in thick, it is hollow ground thin and sharp.

The mechanism uses a spring mounted detent ball that keeps the blade open and snaps it shut. The spring is stiff and not loose like a friction folder.

About what gauge cigar?

Chuck in case you are not a cigar smoker hope you don't mind the help here. 3/4" = 48 Ring. In case anyone cares Ring Gauge for cigars is the diameter of the cigar expressed in 1/64" increments.

That's the hole diameter, I'm wondering what it will cut up to. I have a 58 ring cutter that will cut a 58 gauge cigar in half, but I can typically cut up to a 62 gauge cigar without issues.

Though I figured posting a cigar cutter he would be a cigar smoker. :o

All depends on who made the cigar and how they measure but a 3/4" hole is 3/4" hole. I guess I don't need to shove a 62 Ring in a 48 Ring hole. I will take it.
