I have 2 pocket knives that need washing. one has jigged bone handles, the other plastic fake jigged bone handles. what type of soap should I use to clean these without damage to the handles? Air dry after or? Thanks

I use any kind of liquid hand soap, or dish soap, on mine, with HOT water. Heat up the knife with the water, then pat it dry and tap the water out on a towel. If the knife heats up, the water will evaporate rapidly. Then you can flush with WD-40, or maybe blow it out with compressed air, and a drop of oil in the joint.

Yeah like Kbrasmodeler said a mild detergent should be fine but if you want to be careful a lot of hot water and some time will do the job, but as long as you aren't using any heavy solvents or something like that you should be okay.

Thanks kbrasmodeler and the wambo. Done and done. They are sitting on a vent cover to dry as I type.
