Hey everyone-
Wanted to create a spot where people could request certain patterns to be compared for size and style. Basically I always want to know how a knife sizes up to ones I currently have and sometimes it's hard to find pictures of the knife you want next to one that you have. Hopefully people will be able to post pictures of the knife others are interested in next to some that they already have. Hope that makes sense...

I want to get:
GEC #83

Knives I have that you could compare it to in a photo are:
GEC #77
Case Sodbuster Jr.
Case swayback Jack
Case Peanut
Opinel #8
Spyderco Delica

How do you like your 83?

Easily the sharpest knife ive ever held, and the stag itself is gorgeous. It is smaller than i thought itd be but it is very use-able despite that. The belly on the clip point makes it a fantastic slicer. I dont know how well it would fare to abuse, simply because it is a traditional and not really designed to pry and etc, but it is very stout. The lockup on mine has zero play despite stories of GEC blade movement. What blade/handle material were you eyeing?

I was looking at the clip point blade in cocobolo- not sure if I want a satin or polished blade version. Does the patina vary based on blade finish or will they patina the same?
