I ordered a Mora No 1 Classic with carbon blade and wood handle as a Christmas 2013 gift for someone. Knife arrived in time but was the wrong knife. What I received was a Craftline AllAround with stainless blade and black rubber handle with blue trim. :thumbdn: number 1.
Notified Knife Country USA with an explanation of my order number (which indicates the proper knife), the knife I ordered, and the incorrect knife I received. They were out of town for the holidays and would send the correct knife on 2 January 2014. Today, 11 January 2013, second was delivered. Again, the wrong knife. The same wrong knife -- a Craftline AllAround with stainless blade and black rubber handle with blue trim. :thumbdn: number 2. Had mistake number 2 never have happened, I'd have not posted this.
We all make mistakes, and mistake number one was easy to overlook even though I needed the knife I actually ordered as a Christmas gift. Mistake number 2, a simple repeat of mistake number 1, is totally unacceptable.
Today I emailed Knife Country USA explaining mistake number 2, that it was simply a repeat of mistake number 1, and that I would now just order the proper knife from another vendor. My planned Christmas gift, which was adjusted to be a late Christmas gift, will now just have to be a birthday gift now as the intended recipient's birthday is in early February and will be closer to the day I receive the proper knife than Christmas 2013 will be.
After mistake number 2,Knife Country USA won't be getting any more of my business. They sell nothing I can't get elsewhere and they can't assure me I'll even get what I order from them anyway.
