Knife Dilemma

Get the black version.

DLC is just impressive, blows my mind everytime i think about it.

You should not only buy both, you should get micarta handles for your manix

I concur. I love the micarta handles on my PM2, and the ironwood on my Manix 2. The PM2 scales are burlap micarta from Ripps Garage Tech.

I looked at the G10it. & Wow those custom scales are sweet !!
I'm almost scared to think of the pricing on that.

K.O.D. K.O.D. those are really nice esp the manix

Unfortunately the guy who made my Manix scales stopped making scales a few years ago. They were $110 in 2014. As far as replacement cost, that Manix is my most expensive knife, in that it's also a CTS-XHP sprint.

All this micarta talk got me wanting scales for my manix 2 rex 45, who sells some good aftermarket scales?...

RCBladeworks does nice work in Micarta. I actually replaced the scales (and liners) on my REX 45 Manix with aluminum ones from Caveman Knife Scales, and they make the knife much more ergonomic for me.

Money well spent.
That's my favorite knife I own. I can appreciate the work you put into it.

Really, you just can't get a good feel for micarta without having 2-3 dozen knives to try from. Just tell yourself it's "market research".
