I don’t have parties generally, but I don’t associate with people that are of the sticky finger type, even family. Rarely ever is our home empty as I work from home. That’s a major deterrent to the local would be thrives. And I have a boxer.Knife displays are great aids to thieves. They can case the place at a party or when servicing your dishwasherMake sure you have good security. My knives are in cigar boxes, in a dresser on the third floor with a pit bull roaming the house

I’ve been putting tung oil on this little stand. So far I have 3 coats on one side and 4 on the other. I threw it in with a batch of other items I’m finishing. Tung oil is a slow finish but it makes a nice warm shine. Followed by a coat of paste wax of course. I’ll post pics when it’s finally done.
I think that would be Slade’s wall. This is the coolest I've seen. Perhaps the owner is on here?

Bingo! Thanks for the leadI think that would be Slade’s wall.
You should charge admission. Very nice.I stopped making my own displays early on, and simply buy ready made displays. They are usually front loading shadow boxes, and if they need interior modifications for whatever project I'm planning, then I do whatever needs doing.
I also don't shy away from using any factory provided display that may have come along with my acquisition(s).
Here are just a very few of the many displays I use throughout my domain...
(The first two shown with their glass topped lids open to avoid some glare)...

They having glass fronts is important to me, giving that layer of protection from things gathering to much dust, and giving any viewer the signal to look, but not touch. Otherwise, folks sometimes want to put their acidic fingers all over the goods, and that would cause me too much extra maintenance time![]()
Thank you!You should charge admission. Very nice.
