Knife displays

I would be careful with slotted wood stands. Some woods may stain or rust the blades. I would stick with acrylic if you want to go with a slotted stand. The one in the provious post with a Fitch knife in it looked great. It can be adapted to a verticle stand like at the museum.. Also magetism aroung blade steel (shudder at the thought) not a good thing. Being a maker i have had the problem of dust particles landing or being attracted were they don't belong. If there is just a little moisture in the air it rusts VERY fast and leaves a little pit in a hurry.

Just a thought.

I could see where the magnets may cause a problem, but I got a large knife back from the museum after the 2 year loan and no problems here.
