Knife engraving

So I have seen a few people asking about engraving a knife blade. This is one I just finished for a buddy of mine that's getting married in May. I have a local jeweler that has an engraving machine. $25 for the first 20 characters. Seems like a good option if you can't make your own stencils for etching. I took it to him completely finished.

$25 for 20 characters? That seems a little over board. I just talked to a prof. laser engraving company and they said they would do 5 complete blades for me for $40.I'm getting about 15 characters on each blade.

$25 is the minimum. They are local so I didn't have to pay shipping. That sounds like a good deal you found. I'm going to talk to him and see if I continue to bring him knives if he will come down a little. Anyways, I didn't think it was too bad.
