Knife Engraving

I have been toying with the idea of taking up knife engraving as a hobby but I have no idea how to get started. Does anyone have any tips they could give me such as good books, videos, classes, websites, etc? Any other ideas or advice would also be welcome.

A good book to start out with is "Art of Engraving" by James Meeks.
A good video to watch one of the masters do hammer/chisel engraving is the three tape series of Lytton McKenzie. One source is Brownells.

Hope that helps. It takes a lot of practice and determination.
