Knife Etiquette - What to Do When Your Friend Has a "Bad" Knife

As long as it's safe, I think even a 'bad" is better than no knife at all. It depends on the situation as to whether I would offer a comment unless requested.

I might say something like.... "Ah, Frost Cutlery" and smile. Then I'd add that I carry a Victorinox SAK everyday.
 
If I see a clip in someone's pocket I'll sometimes ask what they're carrying. There was a police officer in one day to review some security tapes and I saw the clip. I thought it was a Protech so I asked about their blade. Out came the POS. My reply was "Oh".... lol
