Knife evolution.....how far can it go?

hhhmmm.. i think that we are YEARS away, before we can at least see a slight decline in inovation and designs.. makers these days seem to always be pushing their limits in trying new things.. it's great too see...:)
 
I was set up to undergo a procedure in which blades would be implanted into my body, latest and greatest steel to boot, adamantium I think was what they called it, BUT, the guy that got it done before me kinda went a little nuts after the procedure and totally trashed the place on his way out. Selfish SOB, ruined it for the rest of us.

To this day we havent made a steel knife as sharp as the obsidian knives we were using thousands of years ago. According to the American Medical news an Obsidian scalpel can have a cutting edge several hundred times sharper than a steel scalpel.
 
The biggest area with room for improvement is materials. Look forward to more corrosion resistant, possibly non-metallic blade materials and stiffer, more lightweight frame materials.

I look forward to seeing the future of knives. Should be good. And very expensive
