Southern Cali knife show: anyone plan on going? if so, it'd be pretty sweet to hook up and meet with some fellow forumites.

I'm not sure if this is where to ask this question, so my apologies to the moderators if it's inappropriate.

Mick and Sue Penfold keep inviting me (ya need to see his work if you end up there!!) But it's a heck of a drive from Seattle just for the day or two... I'm sorta planning on it... Or I'll have to pass and save everything for Eugene in April...:D
 
knife expo '03

i'm not sure if everybody who's going to be there is on the exhibitor list. pat and wes crawford say they'll be there on their site, but i don't see there name on the site.

anyhoo, it should be fun. if i can get a day off from work, i'll more than likely be there on friday.
 
I'll be there on Saturday in the early am. Mick Penfold's work is simply wonderful. He always has some eye catching pieces on his table.

I'll be there at least Saturday, maybe friday too. Talked to David from Protech and he said that he would have a booth there.
 
I will be there looking for a knife with a 7" blade and a stag handle that I will take camping. A nice sheath to go with it will surely be found.

I have been to this show the last three years and I like the atmosphere. I won a knife last year as a door prize.:D

I will be there on Friday when they open up for us regular folks.

I have been talking to them recently. Pat will be there but not Wes. I will be there, too; I will be the guy glued to Pat's table ;-) Matt
 
I will be there, but wont have any knives.. Mostly going to hang out with my good bud Rob Patton, and cause trouble...;)

I had arranged to take a late flight back from a sales training I'm attending in Atlanta on Friday so I could be in town for the show and my best buddy's wife's 35th birthday party Saturday night. He'll still be going to the Expo with some other friends on Sunday but I'm going to have to cancel.

Unfortunately, after booking the flight to Atlanta, I learned my Dad has Cancer of the bladder. He lives in Jacksonville, and if I'm already going to be in Atlanta (45 min airplane ride apart) I feel like I ought to see Dad so I'm going to blow off the Knife Expo and my buddy's wife's birthday party and go visit my Dad for the weekend.

I'll miss you guys, but I hope to attend the Solvang show in April and maybe will see some of you there.

Handing out comp copies of the new KnifeForums knife magazine...

Just look for the fat guy in the Blue Fedora and Hawaiian Shirt, with the pretty lady on his arm...we should be where ever the action is...lol

John, sorry to hear that you won't be making it to this show, I was looking forward to giving you the info you'd asked about face to face. In lieu of that, I'll email you my ph # and we can talk then. Hoping that your dad recovers well, having been there with our folks, we know that can be really tough.

i will be there on saturday and sunday. i will submit my mini two bladed fixed fantasy art knife made of devin thomas ladder damascus hollow ground, high carbon raindrop damascus high polished hot blued center material held together with 3 mini gold plated screws each side. kind of hard to explain but if you are there check it out. RENE
