Are any of you going to the Knife Expo in Pasadena, California?
Will you have a table? .....or just going to look and buy?
The show is March 19, 20 & 21 at the Pasadena Conference center.
I found out about the show from Larry of Gallery Hardwoods. The website for the show is Southern California Blades.
Any advice on what I should bring? Blocks, scales, big pieces, certain types of wood. So far I have cut a variety of types of redwood burl, maple burl, buckeye and spalted woods. I will try to bring stabilized blocks of the softer woods. One of the forum members from Australia is sending me a box of ringed gidgee and other unusual Australian woods that I will bring if they arrive in time. This show I will have 2 tables and will be bringing some of my very best stuff. Some things you just have to see in person. Especially with my limited photography skills.
It sounds like it is going to be a fun show. There are a lot of you in So Cal who have been buying wood. Maybe we will get a chance to meet at the show. I haven't been to a lot of Knife Shows, (Blade West and Oregon Knife Collectors) but I have learned a bit from each.
