Knife for future wife.

I don't know if this is the place, and I am as I said guilty as the rest, but buying a knife for a wife/girlfriend is bound to bring out gender bias. It wasn't necessarily just your post, but others leading up to it made me aware of that, and I decided to poke fun at it, after reading yours. Misogyny is a pretty common accusation in male-dominated sports and hobbies--I usually admit to it and I can see I was too free with the word myself, as I see I have offended you. I can only apologize and beg you to ignore it, as it wasn't intended specifically for you. Anyways my politics are limited to China manufacturing bashing

Gotcha. I agree, women shouldn't be using things they have no knowledge of. Politics done. Stay sharp!

No offense taken.

Just thought you were wrong on my take on the situation , and instead of a considered response; about why you think I was wrong, came in with just a quick shitty thing to say and wanted clarification on it.

So, please explain the misogny you inferred in my post? I think I make good points, and stand behind them. I would be interested in hearing your response (see above post, where I explained even further, my points).

Thanks,

Danketch
Another thing, I meant to say thread, not post, I just caught that now, sorry

Something that will be fast and painless once she neuter's you after she takes over your man hood !!!!! lol !!!!!!!

Guys nobody meant any offence so stop arguing and stay with the thread meaning.

Who ever said I was asking this as a way to get me a new knife is not too far from the truth. I do need a reason to buy a new knife but it really is for the little woman.

I am most definitely going with the Boker Field Butcher once I get the extra cash.

Not fighting, just joshing around... I've done the same thing myself, of course she got wise to it real quick

Find the knife you think will suit her needs best. I do not think it has to be misogyny, it has to deal with persons who may not have the same sharp interest (pun intended) in knives like we do, and those persons can and do lose interest in them, no matter who they are or background. Nothing too complicated than that. What is intended use is a valid question to help narrow down the choices.

My wife has a Busse Combat Custom Shop 4" steak knife. She uses it multiple times a day, everyday for cooking. It's pretty stout and can handle just about anything you throw at it. She has a kydex sheath for it too. I found it for sale here on Bladeforums. It was just under $200. They seem to go for more these days when they pop up for sale. I would highly recommend it as my wife is not really interested in most knives but loves this one.

Another good option. They are beasts, but also very well put together and depending on the handles, pretty as well.

You said that the knife needed to be slim.
That Boker is not a slim knife.
