Knife for keychain?

Well it just has to be the Ontario RTAK..yeah sure, it's big but then you'll NEVER lose your keys...hehehehehehehehehe:p

I think the mini Champ would take up too much room on my keychain (which is crowded enough as it is). I prefer the Rambler .

I keep a slipjoint small knife shaped like a key on my keychain. When all else fails to turn up a knife, I usually remember it. Course I usually have a 3&1/2 to 4" lockback or linerlock in a pocket and a SAK somewhere ( glove compartment ).

I used to carry a Spyderco Ladybug. Then I got a BC Black Chive. It's been banged around with my keys, change and whatever else I might be carrying for a few months now, and it doesn't have a scratch on it. The high polished black finish plus the Speed Safe opening is very cool too.

I like the Cold Steel clip point Tuff Lite. Very light, VERY sharp, enough belly to skin a small critter, and "tuff" enough to withstand the abuse hanging around a bunch of keys will give it.

I have a leatherman micra ive had on my keychain for years and years and years, I recently bought my girlfriend a SAK mini champ though and i was very impressed with it its really neat and alot better made than i was expecting

An old issue of TK showed an ad featuring Tactical Tool's "Street Scalpel", which looked like it could cut pretty good. Did not show how you could protect your pocket; must come with a slip-on sheath that was not depicted in the ad.

Short fixed blade with a chunk of metal at the end - between this and the actual attachment to your keyset - this is what you hold onto when cutting. Similar to a Jens Anso "bauble" at the end of the lanyard.

Nice to hear that. I saw the black Chive in a knife store and figuring it would be toast in my pocket along with my keys. The store owner showed me the satin stainless version as her personal knife and that was the one I thought would be more impervious.

That must be some good black coating on it. Very polished looking.

I like either the Jester and / or a Victo SAK Midnight Manager II (has scissors, knife blade, mini LED light, file/screwdriver and a retractable ball point pen). The Jester in micarta is a VERY nice little knife, maybe too pretty to let rub up against a set of keys all day long. I prefer the FRN handles for that duty (have a BLUE pe Jester on my keys right now :D ).
