knife for my dog

For a dog, eh? Well, for the skinning, I'd recommend a Buck 103. Then a Spyderco C13 Pro Venator ought to be sufficient for the rest of the job. As with all dogs, plenty of garlic is the key.

How about a vest for concealed carry? One of those doggy sweaters ought to be able to conceal a knife or two. Hmm ... do they let dogs go around the metal detectors? If you were stopped and frisked by a cop on the street would he frisk your dog too? :)

I would go for the Katz alley cat, or maybe the combination 7" - 5" kitten fighting knives.
that ought to make him happy.

Okay, assuming the knife is for Luther, not the person walking beside him, and assuming Luther _doesn't_ have thumbs, how about a custom 1.5" Talonite blade (corrosion resistance a plus here) with a Nylabone handle ( http://www.nylabone.com ) and a Concealex neck sheath hanging from the collar in place of the usual tag (perhaps with identifying/vaccination info engraved on the sheath)? Any custom makers up for the challenge

Why not the Spyderco Police Necklace Knife, or whatever it's called. The miniature titanium handled folder. I would think that would be IDEAL!

One thing to consider, seriously, is how secure the blade is. I would want my dog to carry any folder that is only a liner lock, as once the blade gets jarred loose, it can come all the way open and hurt the dog. A good lock-back/front-lock design would be my first choice. Maybe a Spydie Dragonfly?

I really think you guys have lost focus here. Why not a CR "Aviator" with a modified strap carry? That way "Luther" could stuff the handle full of small chewy sticks in case of an emergency. The aviator would be just the trick here!
