Knife for my son

I bought my 7 year old a GEC made Scharade. He just does not have the nail strength! So, in the safe it went, and an Opinel he can open and use!
 
My son's first knife (7 years old) was a Wenger Highlander. The springs are easier to pull than the Vics and he has always loved multifunction knives so it was a perfect fit for him. For whittling the Opinel is a great choice or maybe check out a Case medium stockman if you aren't hung up on the idea of a locking knife.
