Knife for non knifeaholic brother

For a hard user, I have to second glockman and say the clip-point Voyager is the way to go. If tip strength is a real concern, go for the tanto.

I would not have a linerlock for any hard use, and though I like my Delica, the tip is just too prone to breakage under hard use.

Have you looked at the CRKT Cascade? A rubber handled lockcak with a nice guard, made for work.

Can't go wrong with the Dozier either.

With all due respect to the others I still say the Prowler for several reasons:

1. LAWKS system. This feature coupled with the liner lock will make for a very safe knife for your brother.

2. The handle of the Prowler, IMHO, is tougher than that of the Delica or Endura (I've owned/own all three and can speak from some experience on this matter).

3. The Prowler is much easier for the average Joe to operate one handed.

4. The Prowler's price tag fits more easily into your stated budget.

5. The Prowler's blade, by virtue of it's dimensions, will probably hold up better over the long haul.

S30V PE Native is the only way to go.IMO you can't do any better for 40.00 to 50.00.Ebay seems to be the cheapest place to get them.
