Carry a Swiss Army Knife in your pocket. It probably wont fall out, and you're unlikely to impale yourself on it.

Maybe a Spyderco salt, the delica sized one. It won't get rusty from sweat and they are razor sharp and weigh nothing. I usually like overbuilt or heavy knives but this is the one exception because it feels like more knife than it is

Boker Urban Trapper.

Titanium framelock, bearing pivot, VG-10 steel, deep carry clip... less than two ounces.

Gonna do an urban sport? Then carry an Urban Trapper.

Oh, and it's a "flipper" as well.

Look for a Spyderco Remote Release. It was discontinued, but they were not real popular so secondary prices should not be bad.

First off, like Rob Dyrdek would say - "Parkour!" :D

Just fess up and admit you're a ninja!

Swamp Rat Rucki across your back. In the right rig you'd never know it was there...until you need to deanimate a sentry or two.

There are carabiner knives out there, mostly cheap ones. I have had one for about five years now. Mostly just use my pocket knife with a strong pocket clip. Not moving around like Parkour though.

The old caly Jr is my lightweight, high activity level knife. Haven't lost one yet. So light, and that zdp blade is wicked slicey for most tasks.

First off, this made me chuckle, thanks.
I recommend something with a...
...Flipper...
:D

Now on to more pressing matters.

I can understand wanting to carry a knife whenever poasible, but while rolling, jumping and a definite possibility of falling on it, I would strongly suggest having a backpack near by with your knife in that.

If you don't realize your knife opened a bit and catch or drag a toe and you go down, not only will you have some bumps and scrapes, but there is a Real threat of you stabbing yourself as well as others who come to your aid.

If you are unconscious, will you be able to tell the EMTs that you have an (unintentionally) open knife in your pocket or under you?

If you are going to take part in an activity that carries the added responsibility of looking out for those around you, be it friends or medical aid, then you have to be smart about it, and not be more of a potential threat.

That being said, good luck in your search, and stay away from flippers. Look for a Very strong detent, or a knife that locks closed.

Dragonfly. It weighs nothing - because of that I don't see it coming unclipped too easily.

Thanks every one f r the sarcasm and suggestions. I'm not going into this blindly though, I know it needs a strong detent! No I'm not a ninja, but I find myself always using a knife. A from the suggestions here, I will probably have a knife chosen. Thanks!

Thank you for your response. Though that is a worst case scenario, I don't plan on carry a large knife with a loose detent. I plan on carrying something small and secure with either a strong detent or a closed lock.

Unless you're hanging upside down (I've seen Tim Shieff). I'd much rather have a clip, myself. :D
