Knife for sister

Kershaw Scallion in purple would be a great pick. I'm a believer in assisted opening for girls, or at least most of the girls I've gotten non-assisted knives for. They either don't have the dexterity, finger strength, or patience to learn or practice how to one-hand flip open most knives. Just my experience, your girl may vary :D

I would definitely recommend a SAK with a can opener, bottle opener and corkscrew. Those will likely come in as handy as the blade if this is her first time living alone.

Also, definitely nice of you to be thinking of her.

That's the only reason I would buy her an assisted opener

She's tried flipping mine a couple times then gave up lol

Thx for all the help I asked my other sis and she said the kershaw chive in pink so just placed the order thx all

The Chive is a nice little knife. I keep one at my desk at work. Good sturdy utilitarian blade for the size. I think she'll like it.

Here's a few of the models mentioned. I threw in the more expensive Spyder Chaparral because it's also a very functional light and slim knife, but a little pricier.

Kershaw Scallion, Chive, Boker Nano, Spyderco Dragonfly, Chaparral, Leatherman Ps4.

Doh! Just saw that you already ordered the Chive. I'm sure she will love it. It's actually the smallest assisted knife I've ever seen, where the Assist actually works great.
