Anybody have any suggestions for a small lightweight EDC my wife can carry in her car. She is not a knife person but I’d like her to have something in the glove box if she needs a knife. Something under $40. Any ideas?

The Kabar Dozier was my first thought as well. Great value for $22 and plenty of colors to choose from. The regular AUS 8 should be fine.

The Cold Steel Tuff Lite is another option.

I would agree that a back lock is a great choice for a non-knife person. It keeps the fingers out of the way of the blade when you close it.

Ontario Rat 2?
Spyderco LadyBug?
Boker Kalishnecov XXL? 😁

The Kalashnikov might not be legal, depends on the laws where they are, but I agree having an automatic in the car might be a good idea for defense purposes.

It's better to have too much: rather than too little knife...
Unless the LEOs have to search the car: the question of legality is a non-issue.

Oh! I forgot to tell you: I got that Tee-Shirt...
I'll get some pics of it.

I think in terms of a car-knife, you cant beat a swiss army knife..any model.

If you want a knife-knife, the smaller colorful ladybug is a good suggestion by the fellas here. What is her hand size?

Try the CJRB Ria, maileah, swaggs swayback, small feldspar, Civivi Odium, kizer mini-sheepdog, QSP penguin..lots of good offerings from overseas.

Another vote for a SAK......even though I don't care for them, they are handy for a lot of people.

I got my wife a couple of $.99 (after $2 rebate) knives from Menards to carry in her car. They are sharp enough for using a couple of times.
I've tried and tried to show her how to use a lock, but. she just doesn't want to learn.

& yes - this s the same woman that has an addiction to Harbor Freight machetes....she always seems to have one of them rascals around close by..

My wife has a medium side VIC in the car and she recently claimed a Buck 112 Slim select from me.
