Knife for the wife

I gave mine to a pair of stainless Opinel 8, they are light and she likes

Depending on your wife’s skill level - something lockable? So she isn’t torquing the blade and it shuts on her.

I also recommend taking a few minutes to teach her basic knife etiquette, then later when she needs a bandaid you can say “I told you so” 😉

If not lockable - I vote SAK

Opinels are great for the car.

I've only selected knives for not-knife folks a couple times, but my approach has been to show them options and see what they're attracted to.

One result of that approach I didn't see coming was when my retired mother fell in love with a UTX-70. First thing she picked up. I didn't take her for an OTF fan, but she loves it.

SAK or Christy.

folding length 4 inch, it is sharp, and size is great, haze blue handle really goes with handbag, though it is stored in the car for the most of the time...

I’m not sure about that, when ever my wife and I go to a knife shop the first knives she asks to see are William Henry
Or pick something and put it in a new purse, then give it to her. Hall pass on your next 2 purchases, guaranteed.
